A Surf Camp in Playgrounds, Mentawais

Bagus Surf Camp sits beachfront on Nyang Nyang (Pulau Masokut), directly in front of E-Bay — one of the most celebrated waves in the Mentawais.

While E-Bay is right on your doorstep, the surrounding Playgrounds region takes the surfing experience to a whole new level. Known as one of the most wave-dense areas in the world, Playgrounds offers a treasure trove of surf spots — each one leaving a lasting impression.

From Bagus Surf Camp, the whole Playgrounds region is easily accessible by boat, bringing over 20 world-class waves within a short journey. Whether you’re chasing perfect barrels or hunting for uncrowded lineups, our experienced local guides know exactly where to find the best waves for your level.

Renowned spots like Rifles, Kandui, Bank Vaults, and Hideaways are just a stone’s throw away, offering legendary barrels and unforgettable rides. But it’s not just the famous breaks that shine — the lesser-known gems in this region, Pistols, Dog’s Reef, and Pitstops, have the power to deliver the surf session of your dreams. With so many options on your doorstep, no two days in the water are ever the same. Whether you’re seeking the thrill of hollow barrels or the joy of carving glassy walls, these waves are sure to leave you counting down the days until your next visit.
